Scholarship Applications Now Being Accepted
Thank you to BHTA members who supported our recent fundraising activities. Thanks to you there are presently 12 Bahamian students receiving scholarships valued at $67,000!
Now we need to set our sights on assisting another group of promising Bahamians with pursuing a career in tourism.
Applications are now being accepted for scholarships thru the Industry Partners Patrick S. More hotels failed to turn a profit in 2013 than were able to do so, with slipping profitability last year reversing a four-year trend of improving income in the Bahamian tourism industry, according to the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association, whose president yesterday expressed “great concern” about the decline in hotel performance.
