A tru celebration of ‘tings’ Bahamian
It wasn’t weird at all to see an adult showing a youngster the game of hopscotch over the weekend at John Watling’s Distillery, or the plaiting of the maypole, or children engaging in play that did not entail the use of an electronic device – because, after all, it was the Tru Tru Bahamian Festival at which all things Bahamian took center stage.

…BHTA President and Executive Committee Meet with BPL
Representatives from The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association’s (BHTA) Executive Committee including President of the BHTA, Carlton Russell, Senior Vice President Robert “Sandy” Sands, Treasurer Jamal Glover, Nassau Paradise Island Vice President, Jermaine Wright, Bahamas Out Islands Promotion Board Executive Director Kerry Fountain, and BHTA Member Robert Meister met with the Chairman of Bahamas Power and Light (BPL), Donovan Moxey, CEO Whitney Heastie and Robynlee Ogilvie, BPL Board member to glean further clarity on the impact of the recently passed Rate Reduction Bond Bill; the soon to be implemented subsequent charge to consumers, and BPL’s plans to improve the supply of electricity to The Bahamas.
