BHTA & Walden University Honor First Public-Sector Tourism Champion

The Tourism Champion for July; Mr. John Ronald Darville, serves as a Public Officer with The Bahamas Government in The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture. This is the first time a representative from the public sector, has been put forth and awarded the Tourism Champion title.

National Culinary Team Visits Governor General

Executives from the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association, representatives from the National Culinary Team and Team Sponsors recently paid a courtesy call to Governor General of The Bahamas Dame Marguerite Pindling at Government House. Dame Marguerite graciously received the guests in honor of the National Culinary Team’s recent success at the premier Caribbean Culinary Competition; “Taste of the Caribbean”.

Prime Minister, Dr. Hubert Minnis Addresses Record Crowd At BHTA Membership Meeting

Prime Minister, Dr. The Hon. Hubert Minnis, addressed the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association’s (BHTA) Board of Directors and Membership Meeting at the British Colonial Hilton on Thursday, June 15, 2017.

The BHTA saw record attendance at the June meeting, as over 180 members from Andros, Abaco, Berry Islands, Cat Island, Eleuthera, Exuma, Grand Bahama and Nassau, Paradise Island gathered to hear Prime Minister Minnis speak.
