Dinner guests gathered at Baha Mar to savour offerings by the Bahamas National Culinary Team, who are preparing to compete at the upcoming “Taste of the Caribbean” competition.
The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association hosted the annual event to build support for the team ahead of the June 22-26 competition, and provide guests with a “taste of things to come”.FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Last Friday, during the Caribbean Tourism Industry Awards Dinner and Fashion Show, a part of the annual Caribbean Week New York events, Ministry of Tourism and Aviation Director General Joy Jibrilu received the distinguished Allied Award for her exceptional work toward the sustainable development of Caribbean tourism.
It is that time again! The Bahamas National Culinary Team has been preparing to represent the Bahamas at the upcoming prestigious regional Culinary Competition; Taste of the Caribbean 2018, in Miami, Florida. The team has been training for 6 months, honing their culinary creations and perfecting their teams synchronicity.
Charlotte Knowles-Thompson, executive administrator of the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA), was awarded the Distinguished Administrative Professional Award at the Administrative Professionals Conference hosted by Island Human Resources Enterprises, a local human resources consulting and training firm, on Administrative Professionals’ Day, April 25, 2018.

The Bahamas Ministry of Finance’s Department of Inland Revenue, aligned with The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) and public-sector partners including The Bahamas Ministry of Financial Services, Trade and Industry and Immigration; The National Insurance Board (NIB) Department of Physical Planning, and Environmental Health held a “Business License Training Workshop” at the British Colonial Hilton.
