Tropical Storm Watch Issued for Central Bahamas

Winds, Rains Expected to Impact Most of Bahamas Friday and Saturday

The latest forecast still shows Emily impacting most of The Bahamas with tropical storm force winds and potentially heavy rains beginning late Thursday evening in the southern islands and ending later Saturday as it moves out of the northern islands.

Emily Still on Track to Impact Most of Bahamas

While the intensity of Emily is still forecasted to remain at a Tropical Storm level, businesses are advised to monitor the situation carefully. 

At 5:00 p.m. today Emily was located about 185 miles southeast of the Turks and Caicos Islands and projected to begin to effect the southeast Bahamas Thursday afternoon and the central and northwestern Bahamas on Friday.
