We pause during this holiday season to reflect on this past year and look forward to 2012 and beyond. Despite the many challenges in 2011 we were able to make meaningful progress with the ongoing development of our tourism industry.

Expanded promotional efforts, increased airlift, significant improvement in Group and Convention bookings, stronger consumer confidence in the United States, and greater collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation are reasons for optimism in 2012.

Forum Aims to Help You Reduce Power Bill

If You Think Your Power Bill is Too High You’re Probably Part of the Reason
An independent study commissioned by BHA and The Government of The Bahamas and undertaken by one of the world’s leading companies specializing in energy efficiency revealed that electricity savings of potentially 53% could be realized by hotels implementing short and long-term measures. Most of the study’s participating hotels claimed that they had implemented energy-savings measures prior to the study. Our detailed audits revealed that much more room existed to realize savings.
