Tropical Storm Emily to Impact Part of Bahamas

While its course is still fluid, most computer models are showing that Tropical Storm Emily will impact at least some portion of The Bahamas by late Thursday, early Friday. 

Current projections show it coming over the area as a strong Tropical Storm, possibly a low Category One hurricane.  Should it take a path over Hispaniola, it is expected to weaken, sparing The Bahamas from experiencing a stronger storm.   

We will closely monitor developments over the next 24 hours and you should be prepared to activate readiness plans should they become necessary.
