New Security Measures For US-Bound Travellers
Representatives from the Airport Authority, Nassau Airport Development Company, Bahamas Security Services and the airlines have met to address the new travel regulations implemented by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a division of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The airport’s interim plan includes additional security screeners to minimize delays and congestion in the terminal.
All of the relevant agencies are working to minimize inconvenience to passengers.
NAD said in a statement that passengers are being advised to arrive at LPIA three hours prior to their flight departure time.
