BHTA New Slate of Officers & Directors 2025 & 2026
The BHTA’s Annual General Meeting , held on December 4th, 2024, at the British Colonial Hotel, saw the election of Officers and Directors, who will serve in their respective capacities, for the upcoming election period of two (2) years (2025 & 2026).
The BHTA would like to take this opportunity to express heartfelt gratitude to our outgoing slate of officers; including President, Robert “Sandy” Sands who has served two consecutive terms, for a total of Five (5) terms, 10 years, spent as President of The Bahamas Hotel & Tourism Association over the last three decades.
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to outgoing Treasurer, Jamal Glover, who stepped down this year after serving 8 years as Treasurer of The Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association, and Vernice Walkine, who has served as Vice President representing Allied Members on the Executive Committee for 14 years (2010 – 2024).
The contributions of these, and other, dedicated tourism professionals to the efforts and initiatives deployed by the BHTA, as we continue to act and advocate on behalf of industry, has had an indelible and inestimably valuable impact on the tourism industry,
We are pleased to announce, and welcome, the newly instated and still-serving slate of Officers and Directors of The Bahamas Hotel & Tourism Association who will serve and/or continue to serve in their respective capacities for the upcoming 2025 & 2026 term.
We would also like to welcome BHTA’s newest members, who were ratified at the 2024 Annual General Meeting.
