About Tru Tru Bahamas Festival
The Festival will provide a myriad of experiences for the whole family. The Kids Area will showcase creatures from land and sea, as well as plant life indigenous to our islands. Kids will be able to interact with Bahamian animals, play games and learn about Bahamian traditions long lost to the modern age of electronics. Games from yesteryear such as “Ring Play and Plait the Maypole” will take parents back in time.
For our adults, we will have Tru Tru Bahamian food and drinks, handicrafts and art exhibits, just in time for Christmas. In addition the Festival will feature Bahamian sounds and traditional musical celebrations such as The Royal Bahamas Police Band Performance, Gerald Cash Primary School Rake and Scrape Band, the College of the Bahamas Jams Session Band, Ira Storr and the Spank Bank; and as the Grand Finale, The C.R. Walker Senior High School Junkanoo Parade.
