Stopover Visitor Trendline Data to 2011 – This is a comprehensive compilation of statistics on stopover visitors prepared by the Ministry of Tourism and Aviation’s Department of Research and Statistics. It’s an invaluable compilation to support your benchmarking and marketing efforts. Most reports in the file show data between 2000 and 2011 with some dating back much earlier. The compilation shows numbers of hotel visitors to The Bahamas, island groupings, and individual islands. Information is provided on visitor’s country of origin, length of stay, top producing markets and DMAs. General information is provided on trends in occupancy, numbers of hotels and numbers of rooms. The information is provided in an Excel format. The first page is a table of contents listing all reports within the document which can be accessed by going to the noted tab sheet. Note, the 2011 data is preliminary and may see some minor adjustments in the coming months if additional Immigration Cards are forwarded by the Department of Immigration. To view go to:
