Nominations are now open for the 18th Cacique Awards

“I encourage as many of you across The Bahamas to step forward and nominate for a Cacique Award, those deserving individuals and companies in the tourism and hospitality sector that have gone the extra mile to make our industry great,” Albury said.

Any member of the public may cast a nomination for awards in the following categories: Transportation, Local Airlines and Tour Operators, Human Resources Development, Cecil Rose Sports and Leisure, Special Events, Creative Arts, Handicraft, Sustainable Tourism, the Minister of Tourism’s Hospitality Award and the Clement T. Maynard Lifetime Achievement Award. There is no limit to the number of persons that one person may nominate.

Additionally, the same person may be nominated for more than one award if he/she is contributing to more than one area. Where there is no Ministry of Tourism Office, nominations may be returned to the Administrator’s Office on the Family Islands. Nominations for awards in the Hotel Sector must come from members of the Bahamas Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) and meet BHTA criteria, sanctioned by the Cacique Blue Ribbon Panel.

Nominations can be completed online at www.caciqueawards.com or forms can be collected at any Bahamas Ministry of Tourism office in the Family Islands or abroad.

The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2020.
