The BHA is excited to be partnering with the organizers of the upcoming Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) to move forward the discussion and implementation of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs in The Bahamas and the region.

2010 Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum (CREF)
Gala Reception: Wednesday, October 13, 2010
Conference: Thursday, October 14 and Friday, October 15, 2010
At Atlantis Resort,
Paradise Island, Bahamas

Organizers have confirmed the following:

• The participation of Bahamas' Prime Minister The Right Honorable Hubert A. Ingraham and Minister of State for the Environment Phenton Neymour

• The attendance of Governments from the majority of countries across the region (including, to date, eight Government Ministers)

• The attendance of all the key sources of financing: the development banks, many of the local commercial banks, regional and international sources of private equity, etc.

• Some of the world's biggest names in technology providers

• 60 speakers drawn from Caribbean stakeholders and internationally respected market participants

This is a terrific opportunity for BHA members to understand the latest in Bahamian and regional developments, and to get to grips with the opportunity represented by the emergence of renewable energy and energy efficiency programs. Join us at CREF and:

• Meet the regional and international energy efficiency community (vendors, consultants, financiers, et al.)

• Get to grips with the latest in energy efficiency technologies

• Explore opportunities for financing

• Understand the implications of regional energy efficiency programs, such as CHENACT and the IDB/BHA energy audit

• Stay up-to-date with the latest in regional policy; what impact will it have on your business?

The conference will open on October 13th with a gala reception for all delegates hosted by the Government of The Bahamas. Two days of intense debate, discussion and networking will follow. The conference will conclude end of day on Friday October 15th.
