Hurricane Earl to Bypass Bahamas

Hurricane EarlBHA Eye on the Storm...

Tracking reports as of 7:00am this morning show the powerful Category 4 storm veering east of The Bahamas.

The Bahamas Met Department has issued a Tropical Storm watch for the Southeastern Bahamas in anticipation that the fringes of the storm may generate sustained 40 mph winds in that area by early Wednesday morning when the storm is anticipated to take a more northerly track keeping it a comfortable distance from the central and northwestern Bahamas...

Precautions should be taken to secure areas which might be affected by gusts and rain as the outer bands of the storm may affect The Bahamas through Thursday.  Tropical Storm Fiona is behind Earl and is expected to take an even more easterly track.  A depression behind that does bear watching, as it presently is projected to take a more southerly track.  That system would be at least a week away.

We will update you should there be any change in direction or cause for concern.
